2017-18 District Governor Judy Hughes was the guest presenter at the Oil City Rotary Club meeting on October 5, 2017.
Governor Hughes spoke about the many projects and undertakings of Rotary and some of this year’s main projects include:
- Working with and aiding children at an orphanage in Uganda, where Mrs. Hughes has dedicated much time.
- Working to expand Pennsylvania’s 2-1-1 outreach which, by working with the United Way, provides resources like healthcare information, home heating bill assistance, veterans’ assistance simply by dialing 211.
- Striving for each Rotary Club member in her district plant a tree in their area by Earth Day – April 22, 2018.
